| Do you have a supported Voice modem | |
Use a supported voice modem (Voicent 3025 voice modem) will solve this problem. Order a supported voice modem |
| Is your phone line connected correctly? | |
Please make sure that your phone wall jack is connected to the LINE jack on the modem. |
| Do you receive your call on a cell phone? | |
If you are calling to your cell phone, sometimes the cell phone station might be too busy to connect your call. The missed call does happen regardless whether the call is from Voicent program or a live person. |
| Do you enter the correct phone number? | |
Normally the modem will dial the phone number EXACTLY as you entered. For example, if you need to dial 1 for long distance, you need to add 1 to your 10 digit phone number. If you need to call a local 7 digit number, do not enter the area code. (You could set up the dialing rule from Voicent Gateway such that the 1 is automatically added to your 10 digit phone number.) If you need to dial a 9 for outside line, you need to set up the dialing rule from Voicent Gateway also. To set the correct dialing rules, please click on the Voicent Gateway
icon (where is it?) to invoke the gateway main window,
then select Setup > Options from the main menu. |
| Do you have failed calls before? | |
If you've been testing the system and there are failed calls before, the call records might still be active in Voicent Gateway. To clean up all previous scheduled calls, please click on the Voicent Gateway icon (where is it?) to invoke the gateway main window, then select Operations > Scheduled Calls from the main menu. Click Delete All button. Click OK. This should clean up all the active call records from the gateway. |
