Choose a Computer

Minimum Requirements

The more concurrent calls to make, the more powerful CPU and more memory are needed. In general, your computer:

  • must run Microsoft Windows
  • have at least 4G of memory
  • have at least 512G of hard disk (SSD highly recommended)
  • see next section for choosing the computer CPU

Choose a CPU

More concurrent calls means more CPU hardware cores. Normally, a single hardware core can handle around 20 concurrent calls. This rule of thumb obviously depends on other software that runs on the same computer and the types of Voicent tools are used. For example, Voicent Agent Dialer (predictive dialer) needs more CPU power to handle agent sessions in addition to the concurrent calls.

Examples

A typical system to run 10 concurrent calls for auto dialer campaigns:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • 4G memory
  • 512G SSD
  • Single or double core CPU

A typical system to run 100 concurrent calls for auto dialer campaigns:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • 6G memory
  • 1T SSD
  • 4 core CPU

A typical system to run 500 concurrent calls for auto dialer campaigns:

  • Microsoft Windows Server Edition
  • 16G memory
  • 2T SSD
  • total 20 hardware cores, could be duel CPUs, each with 10 cores
