Licensing FAQ


If your software was purchased within the last 12 months or you have a valid support contract with Voicent, you may submit a new license request.

If your software is over 12 months old and you do not have a valid support contract, you have two options:

  1. Purchase a support contract: When you have a valid support contract, we will automatically give you a software upgrade and replacement license. Purchase a support contract here.
  2. Purchase a replacement license for the same software release: Purchase a replacement license here.


After you install Voicent Software, you can submit the license request from the software you purchased with following the steps below.

  1. Open the Voicent App
  2. At the top right corner there is a Licensing menu. You will see a “Request a Product License” button. Select it.
  3. A web browser will open our license request form, fill out all appropriate information.
  4. The license key will be emailed to you promptly. Click on the link in the email to install the new license.

Please note we can not issue a license without you submitting a license request. In some cases the license key may go to your email providers spam folder. Please add webmaster@voicent.com to your contact list to prevent this.

Voicent doesn’t support obsolete versions. If you need a licensed version of the software, you’ll need to download the latest version of our software and request a license. With a valid support contract, we can upgrade you free of charge. If you don’t have a valid support contract, you’ll need to purchase an upgrade.

The Voicent license key is tied to your computer’s network adapter card and system hardware. Do not remove or disable a network card that is used by the Voicent license. It is fine to have multiple network cards on one computer. This will not affect your Voicent license.


The license will only work on the computer which you have requested the license for. The license key is permanently linked to a unique Voicent Gateway ID number generated for the computer.


When encountering this error, it’s most likely an issue with your licensing. In order to fix this, try re-installing your Voicent license. If this doesn’t work, you’ll need to either request a new license (if you have a valid support contract) or purchase a new license.
