What is an Auto Attendant?

Also known as a Virtual Receptionist, it allows callers to be automatically transferred to an extension without the intervention of a live operator. Typically the Auto Attendant is included in a business phone system.

Unlimited Virtual Receptionists

Design and build multi-level auto attendants with Voicent Flex PBX's easy to use interface, with point and click menu building. You can create phone menus and call routing systems in minutes with Voicent software.

Multiple Options

Within on Virtual Receptionist, you can offer callers multiple options from speaking to an agent, getting information, leaving a voicemail, or transferring to a sub-menu. This sub-menu can be another Virtual Receptionist created in Voicent's Flex PBX Setup menu.

Link Auto Attendants

You can setup your menu so that when a caller presses a certain keypad number, their call will automatically be transferred to another Virtual Receptionist. To link to another Virtual Receptionist within one Auto Attendant, create the sub-menu Auto Attendant first. Then, select that Auto Attendant when setting up menu options in another Auto Attendant.

Unlimited Receptionists

You can create an unlimited number of receptionists, for all purposes and occasions. Create receptionists to answer questions, to relay information about office hours, to inform callers about locations near them, and to give agent directory listings.

Screen Callers

Create Auto Attendants specifically for answering the most repetitive and popular questions asked by callers. This way, you can direct callers with easily answerable questions towards an automated Virtual Receptionist, while helping your agents be more productive.

Easy Swap

When linking auto attendants to one another, you can easily swap attendants with the point-and-click interface for building PBX phone system menus. For example, you can have callers press 3 to hear pricing for different products given by another Virtual Receptionist. If you are running a sales promotion, you can easily swap that Virtual Receptionist with a new one with updated pricing. Once your sales promotion is over, simply click a button to change it back to the normal Virtual Receptionist.

Answer Popular Questions

One of the biggest advantages of having a professional business phone system is that you can setup Virtual Receptionists designed specifically for giving information to callers. This feature is a powerful boost to your organization's efficiency and save time for your agents.

Multiple Languages

If you have multiple business locations in different countries, having Virtual Receptionists that can answer questions and offer menu options in different languages is a huge plus. Voicent's Flex PBX is easily integratable with Voicent's Text-to-Speech plugin, which offers multiple languages and accents in both male and female voices.

Collect Information

In addition to giving out information, your business PBX phone system can collect caller information. For example, Voicent PBX can automatically collect the caller's choices during Auto Attendant interactions and save those choices in the built-in CRM. With these results, you can generate marketing campaign contact lists, automatically capture leads, and save caller preferences.

Inbound Phone Surveys

Multi-level auto attendants create multiple phone branches, similar to an inbound phone survey. For more information on creating inbound phone surveys, check out Voicent's Phone Survey software.

IVR Studio

For a comprehensive tool designed specifically for integrating with websites and databases, see IVR Studio. With IVR Studio, you can create powerful phone menu applications, such as phone payment systems and ticketing systems.
