Starting from release 6, Voicent software can use Skype
to make and receive telephone calls. This VOIP solution eliminates the need
for a voice modem or other hardware telephony cards.
Skype allows users to make telephone calls over the
internet to other Skype users free of charge and to landlines and cell
phones for a fee.
Since the calls are made over the internet,
you no longer need a physical phone line and a voice modem in order to
use Voicent programs.
SkypeOut
allows
you to call both local, long distance and international phones and
cell phones directly from Skype (thus from Voicent)
- With SkypePro ($30 per year1)
you pay nothing per minute on calls in the US & Canada.
- It's 2.1¢ per minute to 30 most popular destinations
Anyone can dial your personal SkypeIn number
from a phone or mobile and
your Skype rings and you pick up the call. Also, when you have your own
SkypeIn number, you can set it up so it is displayed when you call someone
on their phone or mobile.
Once you setup and configure Voicent for Skype, you can use any Voicent
programs as if you are using a regular telephone line.
- download
and install Skype software
- Configure Voicent Gateway for Skype
