1. What's the difference between Standard Edition and Professional Edition?

The Standard Edition can dial next phone number by the press of a key.

The following features are only available in Professional Edition:

1. Predictive Dialing
2. During manual dialing, press a key to play a pre-recorded message, record conversation, and transfer calls.

2. How do I set up the phone and the voice modem?

This question is answered in the usage guide.

3. How do I set up and use call transfer?

You need to set up the Voicent Gateway call transfer feature first.

To use it, click the call transfer button any time during the call.

4. I click the Hang up button. Why do I still have to hang up the phone?

Since the modem and the phone are connected to the same phone line, you will have to hang up the telephone and the modem in order to free the phone line for the next call. This is similar to two regular telephones are connected to the same phone line; both phones have to hang up in order to make the next call.

5. How do I record my audio message?

Please refer to the same question under Installation FAQ.

6. During audio playing, why does the system only record the audio message but not my conversation?

This is due to voice modem limitation. A voice modem is a half-duplex device in terms of audio playing and recording. It can either playing an audio message or record the message at any given time. During audio playing, only the playing audio is recorded since while the modem is playing a pre-recorded message, it cannot "hear" anything during that time.

While the modem is not playing audio, it is listening to the whole conversation and thus can record everything during that time.
