Setup PBX Auto Attendant Operations

After a caller enters some keys, an auto attendant can:
  • transfer the call to an extension
  • or
  • go to a sub-menu (another auto attendant)
Auto Attendant Actions:

In the If a caller: section in the following window you can determine the caller input that will prompt Auto Attendant to take action. In the The System Should: section of the window you can determine the action Auto Attendant takes in response to the caller's input.

In the If a caller: section you have the following options:

  • presses a key:
    -Choose a number on the dial pad as recognized caller input
  • dials a correct extension
    -Caller will be transferred to the corresponding extension as detailed in the other section
  • presses a wrong key or dials an incorrect extension
  • does nothing

In the The System Should: section you have the following options:

  • Transfer to the dialed extension
  • Transfer to Extension
    -Transfer a call to a pre-existing extension defined in the "Extensions" tab
  • Go to Submenu
    -Transfer a call to another auto attendant that has already been created
